At our meeting we were informed that the org needs some fast cash to keep afloat. What news does anyone eles have? Not rumors but substantial news on if we will reach the goal and keep going. I also dont want any bashing on who what why etc. this isnt the place for that type of conversation. Just information on if we are close to the goal or not.

I do not know how we are doing (as a group) right now but, if everyone would buy just one more book of raffle tickets I am sure that would help alot. also, check out the store, there are a number of things to buy and show your pride. Ride safe.

I have some numbers, but I'm a bit reluctant to display them here.

Our membership has been on the decline for some time, but now more than ever. We're not the only organization with this problem. I really love GWTA and what it has given back. So, I've given more than what they're asking of us, knowing there would be others who decide not to give, and those who can't give.

If it's the will of the members, we will survive. But just think. When we are at Gold Rush, we will know we did it. I can't wait to experience that boost of morale. That, thru this tough time, we pulled together, and kept this wonderful organization going.

I agree, this is not the forum to bash anyone. But you all should know, I've been working closely with Bruce over the years, and we're damn lucky to have him at the helm.

So, here's to GWTA, may she live on and thrive . . . . . . . . .

I sure hope we can pull it off and keep on going. I dont think the ticket sales will help for this financial need, I would suspect the proceeds will be kept separete from the general fund until the payoff amount is reached cause the raffle must finish or there may be some legal issuses. So if you can donate to the cause send it to your state or regional rep so it can be passed to the national folks. We had our lunch meeting saturday and took chapter funds and passed a hat to offer what little we could. Every bit helps tho.

I kinda like Bruce, he is a good person in my opinion. But then everyone I have met in this org has been of the finest kind.

Must donations be passed through local offices or can they be made directly to HQ? Please forgive my question since I am not affiliated with a local club/chapter. Is the financial shortfall due only to declining memberships/dues or is there something else we need to know?

I intend to be in Billings this Summer and hope to see lots of Members there. My reservations are made and I have registered. If you haven't signed up. do so please.

You can send a check, call, or purchase tickets on line. When you make your donation, let her know what Region you're in.

If you do not want to buy tickets, you can make a comment in the comments box at check out. You can find the Raffle Tickets link on the main page, first banner.

Bought my tickets today, but forgot to put the region. How can I fix that?

So anyone know how this is going? Are we still a viable association or did we go under?

I got an e-mail from my director last night, things are looking better. This is a great group of people. God bless you and ride safe.

Hopefully our leaders will post an announcement soon to nip these fatalistic rumors in the bud. I suspect that the situation is not nearly as dire as circulating rumors seem to indicate; and that our club is solvent and here to stay.

Registered for GR in Billings yet? Hotels are booking briskly or so I am told.

Not being able to say a whole lot at the moment, I will say, things are looking good. I advise any of you to contact your CD, State Director, or Region Director. We all should know more by the end of this week.

Thank you John for nipping the rumors in the bud. See you in Billings, I hope.
